The Weller Health Education Center is the region’s leading resource for children’s health education and information on the current trends affecting the physical and emotional well-being of 21st century youth.
The Weller Health Education Center serves more than 82,000 children in more than 500 schools each year through our out-reach programming. We also reach a larger number of students through our Health Risk Behavior Surveys than does the CDC . During the 2006-2007 academic year, we surveyed 8,500 7th through 12th graders in Eastern PA alone while the CDC Youth Risk survey sampled only 15,420 nation-wide.
The Weller Health Education is proud to provide such service as:
• Presenting custom health education programs to students in grades pre-K through 12
• Creating, distributing and assessing health risk behavior surveys for students in grades 7 through 12
• Designing specialized wraparound programming to meet the needs of each individual school entity
• Producing captivating and informative teacher programs that meet act 48 and other professional development requirements
• Informing teachers and parents of the latest kids heath trends through monthly e-newsletters
