Choose the format that works best for you:
- Assemblies. Assembly Programs are 45 minutes and should be scheduled in a large venue, such as a gymnasium or auditorium for a maximum of 250 students. Up to four assemblies may be scheduled in one day.
- Health Educator for a Day. Small group programs are also available! Our Health Educator for a Day option allows schools to schedule 45-minute programs for groups of 60 or fewer students with a maximum of six classes per day.
Customize your program:
Our reservations coordinator will talk with you and determine if we can customize your program(s) in any way to better support and enhance your curriculum at the time of our visit. You can also speak directly to one of our health educators to discuss which programs you should choose. Although most assembly programs are 45 minutes, we can work with you to adjust the length and the content to ensure that it meets the needs of your students and faculty.
Download supporting materials:
Finally, before our visit, we encourage you to review the many free resources available on our Web site including lesson plans which support math, reading, health and science standards, enrichment activities and tens of thousands of medically-reviewed articles on health and wellness for parents and kids.
Other tips for a great experience:
- Find the right space. We know building space is tight, but students benefit most from programming when they can see and hear all aspects of the program and when there is ample space for demonstrations and activities. We bring all AV equipment and program supplies so we only ask that the space we present in have a screen and an available outlet.
- Allow ample time for the program. Most programs include 45 minutes of instructional time. To eliminate the need to reduce program content or activities, please plan enough time for groups to be in the programming room and ready to go on time.
- Prepare for our visit. Please share the date and time of the scheduled programming with all teachers and staff who have participating students so all can schedule accordingly. Review and utilize our free enrichment packets for each program to prepare your students for the topics to be covered.
