NEW EMOTIONAL HEALTH PROGRAM FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

(Easton, PA) You asked and we listened! The Weller Center is pleased to introduce:

Emotional Health: It Counts!

A new assembly for grades 7 – 12 developed with experts in the field of adolescent emotional health in cooperation with school psychologists, administrators, teachers, parents and students.

Your students will learn:

· The importance of physical, social and emotional health

· The effects of stress on the body

· To distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate coping mechanisms

· To recognize the signs and symptoms of stress and depression

· The difference between “normal” depression and “major” depression

· The link between depression and teen suicide

· The warning signs of suicide

· Strategies for getting help for yourself or a friend


The Weller Center also offers the following other character education assemblies:

Toxic Relationships (Grades 9 – 12)
