Beginning September 1, 2012, the Weller Center’s pricing structure will change as Weller transitions from day-rate to student-centered pricing. Weller wants to encourage a reduction in class size for their health education programs to allow more students to actively participate in these presentations and for smaller schools to schedule Weller programs at a more economical rate during these fiscally challenging times.
The Weller Center delivers 33 high-energy, interactive health education programs and has discovered through its own testing that knowledge gain is higher in those classes in which the student count is limited to 60 or fewer students. Weller also realized that smaller schools were at a pricing disadvantage when scheduling two or three programs a day and seeks to remedy this through this new structure.
Pricing has also been reduced for schools or other community organizations that are interested in Weller programs after school, as a teacher in-service or offered to parents in the evening.
Here is a breakdown of the new pricing structure:
$500 for the first 45 minute program with up to 60 students
$100 for each additional program that day or additional students in 60 person increments
(Up to six presentations may be scheduled in one day at the same location)
$300 for a 45 minute after-school program
$300 for a 1 hour parent program
$300 for a 1 hour teacher in-service
