The Weller Center Privacy, Security, and Terms of Use Policies
Privacy and Security
Adults and children can surf the Weller Center web site and view content without any personally identifiable information being collected. In addition, we host password protected, moderated chat rooms for participants in our center's programs where no personally identifiable information is collected or posted. We NEVER ask for personally identifiable information from visitors under 13 years of age. However, in some areas it is necessary to collect personally identifiable information from adults to allow participation in an activity (like registering for a program or receiving our newsletter) or to communicate directly with the Weller Center. None of these activities is child-oriented, and if we determine that a visitor 12 and younger has provided personal information, it will immediately be removed from our database.
The Weller Center believes it is good policy not to collect any personally identifiable information from kids 12 and younger. In addition, be aware that all web sites that are targeted to children 12 and younger are prohibited by law from collecting more information than they need.
If a parent suspects that we have inadvertently collected information about their child, we encourage them to request that we review our database and remove any information collected about their child. If you suspect that we have collected information about your child, please call us or send an e-mail message to info@wellercenter.org with your child's name requesting that the information be removed.

Distribution of Information
No information collected from any visitor is sold, rented, leased, or otherwise shared for any marketing or promotional purposes whatsoever outside the Weller Center web site.
We will give out personal information only if required by law, for example, to comply with a court order or subpoena; to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the safety and security of visitors and our site.
You can contact the Weller Center at any time to review the information that has been collected from or about you by calling us or sending an email to info@wellercenter.org. Please include information (your name and email address) in the email that will help us identify your account so we can assist you with your inquiry or request.

Protecting Yourself
The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated with our guests is of utmost concern to us. The Weller Center takes reasonable technical, contractual, administrative, and physical security steps to protect all visitors' information. There are some things that you can do to help protect the security of your information as well. For instance, never give out a forum name or password, since this is the only method by which to access a forum. Also remember to log out of any active forums and close your browser window when you finish surfing the Web so that other people using the same computer won't have access to private information.

Online Forums
"Forum" means a private, password-protected message board offered as part of the Weller Center web site. All online forums are moderated by a Weller Center health education professional. No personally identifiable information is collected in these forums. Also, a forum name and password is required for a visitor to gain access to a forum. This information is given to visitors by their teachers, and should not be shared with others. All forums remain active for 30 days after the program was presented unless otherwise noted. We do not host any non-moderated or public forums or chat rooms. If you participate in any Forum within the Weller Center web site, you must not:
- defame, abuse, harass or threaten others;
- make any bigoted, hateful, or racially offensive statements;
- advocate illegal activity or discuss illegal activities with the intent to commit them;
- post or distribute any material that infringes and/or violates any right of a third party or any law;
- post or distribute any vulgar, obscene, discourteous, or indecent language or images;
- advertise or sell to or solicit others;
- use the Forum for commercial purposes of any kind;
- post or distribute any software or other materials that contain a virus or other harmful component; or
- post material or make statements that do not generally pertain to the designated topic or theme of the forum.
It is our policy to respect the privacy of all visitors. Therefore, in addition to the privacy of registration data, we will not monitor, edit, or disclose the contents of a customer's e-mail unless (a) you authorize us to do so, (b) we must do so in order to resolve technical problems on the Weller Center web site; or (c) unless required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) comply with the law or comply with legal process served on us; (2) protect and defend our rights or property; or (3) act in an emergency to protect the safety of our customers or the public. Customers shall remain solely responsible for the content of their messages.
We reserve the right to remove or edit content from any Forum at any time and for any reason.
By uploading materials to any Forum or submitting any materials to us, you automatically grant (or warrant that the owner of such materials expressly granted) us a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, nonexclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform and display, create derivative works from and distribute such materials or incorporate such materials into any form, medium, or technology now known or later developed throughout the universe. In addition, you warrant that all so-called "moral rights" in those materials have been waived.
When participating in a Weller Center forum, feel confident that all moderators of those forums are employed by the Weller Center as health education professionals. While we make every effort to make the information in our forums reliable, it is not a good idea to make any life altering decisions based solely or largely on information from our forums.

Content Linked To The Weller Center Web Site
Please exercise discretion while browsing the Internet using The Weller Center web site. You should be aware that when you are on The Weller Center web site, you could be directed to other sites that are beyond our control. There are links to other sites from The Weller Center web site pages that take you outside of our service. For example, if you click on a game link from our Fun Zone page, the click may take you off The Weller Center web site. This includes links from sponsors, and content partners. Although we make every attempt to link only to appropriate sites, these other sites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, solicit personal information, or contain information that you may find inappropriate or offensive. In addition, linked sites on The Weller Center web site may send cookies to users that we do not control.
We reserve the right to disable links from third-party sites to The Weller Center web site.
We make no representations concerning the content of sites listed on any of our pages. Consequently, we cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, relevancy, copyright compliance, legality, or decency of material contained in sites listed on our pages or otherwise linked to The Weller Center web site.
